• Students taking the work study programme will involve in a supervised training in the participating company normally for 10-12 months. The training normally commences in May/June, right after the completion of the penultimate year of study.
• During the one-year internship period, students will be employed as a contract staff of the company and entitled to a monthly salary and subjected to the protection of the labour ordinance of the HKSAR.

Students who wish to undertake internships starting in Term 1 or Term 2 must obtain prior approval before course registering for Term 1 or before the start of Term 2, respectively.

• A student registered for a full-time programme of studies shall not take up any full-time employment, paid or unpaid, during term time except with prior permission of the Board of the Faculty to which s/he belongs (for undergraduate students) / the Graduate Council (for postgraduate students). Recipient of a Postgraduate Studentship shall not take up full-time or part-time employment, except with prior permission of the Graduate Council. Term-time Internships are for the recruitment of students to work in Term 1 and /or Term 2.
